See a brief video of our Wreaths Across America wreath laying in December 2020.  We struggled through the deep snow, but it was a very fufilling day.

Major 2018 Donations

We greatly appreciate two major donations to the cemetery in 2018.  Calvin and Marianne Reynolds have donated matching new sections of the 1880s vintage iron fence on the Route 112 (River Road) side of the cemetery to complete the fencing on the entire side.  Richard and Beverly Atkinson have donated granite posts for all the remaining roads. The posts are used to chain off the roads when the cemetery is closed.  It is wonderful to see the cemetery looking well.

SOMETHING TO CONSIDER

We hope you have noticed that our new 40 niche columbarium is in place, landscaped and waiting for our first customer. At our directors meeting October 23rd, we voted to reduce the price per niche, which will hold two urns, from $3995 to the introductory price of $2650. This price includes two openings and closings, and a beautiful antiqued brass plaque with raised letters .There is a sample installed on the columbarium. At the Maine State Cemetery Association’s meeting on October 21 it was noted that burials this year in Bath, Maine were 80% cremations. At SBC cremations were 70% of our burials. These statistics influenced SBCA to make the columbarium available at our cemetery to offer winter interment as well as an alternative to in-ground interment.
